- I was successfully using a Zoom 14.4 internal modem (it came with my
- computer) to access my Internet access provider via the Win95 32-bit
- TCP/IP dialup. Last weekend I upgraded to a Zoom V34i. The modem works
- via ordinary communications software (such as Hyperterminal) and sends
- faxes, and I can even dial up my ISP via a 16-bit Trumpet Winsock dialer.
- But when I tried to use it over the Win95 TCP/IP connection, it wouldn't
- work. I keep getting messages that the TCP/IP is not set up properly, but
- of course, I haven't a clue if that's really the problem, or how to tweak
- it so it'll work. Could it be the modem? I've still got time to take the
- Zoom back and exchange it for a USR Sportster, which Staples is selling
- for the same price ($150)....
